Viva Las Vegas

We have officially finished the 2012 Miss USA Registration process. Let me start off by saying this is my very first time in Las Vegas and what a way to experience it! We are staying at one of the most popular resorts on the Strip, Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Planet Hollywood provides guest with some of the best entertainment, dining and nightlife in Las Vegas. We are beyond excited to be a part of all the glamorous events that Las Vegas has planned for us.

To kick off registration, I had a shoot with Farouk Systems Inc. for Chi Magazine shot by Colin Hornett from the Miss Universe Organization. It was shot in an amazing suite here at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Here is a sneak peek from the shoot:

The next day it was time for wardrobe, registration photos, and web videos. I am so excited for the  opening number of this years show. It is something totally new and never done before!! All the Sherri Hill wardrobe rocks. We also received our Official Chinese Laundry Competition Shoes! Also, we received Chinese Laundry Make My Day wedges (check them out, they are amazing) and were able to pick out another pair of our choice. I chose a black satin peep toe pump to go with my opening number outfit. Next, we headed over to Kooey Swimwear to get fitted for our competition suit and were able to pick out a couple of fun, appearance suits as well. Lastly, we were able to choose from racks of stunning Sherri Hill cocktail dresses! They are all absolutely beautiful but I ended up choosing a Hot Pink Bandage Dress (Sherri Hill 2765) which really resembles my personality and personal style.

After wardrobe, I went straight to hair and makeup for my official headshot, evening gown and swimsuit photoshoot! Rain Cosmetics and Farouk/Chi did a fabulous job on all of us. In my shoot, I rocked a brand new shade of Glam Lipstick called 'With the DJ". I cannot wait for the photos to debut on MissUSA.com.  Lastly, I filmed my UCAP (up close and personal) and web videos. Again, we were beautified by Rain Cosmetics and Chi experts.
